Beaker Creatures Lab fun…

Harry was sent the Beaker Creatures Lab set to have a play with and see what we thought, we have also teamed up with Learning Resources to give away another one to one of my lucky followers over on Instagram! Giveaway end on Wednesday 14th November at 8 pm so be sure to hop over and enter!

My very first thought on opening the box was as a typical parent in thinking- ‘oh gosh is this going to make a volcano of mess?!’ But Learning resources have already thought of that as it comes with its own over spill tray just incase, and generally was not too messy at all.

Harry loves things activities that he can really get involved in and this makes a nice family activity as everyone can get involved, as he also loves science and experiments it was a perfect Weekend afternoon activity.

We decided to use very mild food colouring on our first attempt, which still worked great with lots of reaction, fizzing and bubbles, and the instruction booklet had a number of experiments and ideas to try out in the future which we shall have a go at.

The lab was easy and quick to set up and also to pop it all away once he had finished playing with it, and as the beaker creatures are collectable figures after doing the experiments he had them to continue playing with when the lab set was put away.

Its rrp at £25 and comes with two creatures and more can be bought for future play (around £4 each)- which Harry has now added to his Christmas list. I think the lab is really reasonably priced as you can use it for other experiments and the beakers and syringes for other imaginative play.

There are some extra treats added such as posters and collectable cards, and even the chance to find a rare 24 carat creature! A great christmas gift which i’m sure many children will love.
